Sgt. 1st Class Stephen B. Cribben - Nov 4, 2017

Sgt. 1st Class Stephen B. Cribben of Simi Valley, California was 33 and died of combat injuries in Logar province. Cribben was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group in Fort Carson, Colorado. Cribbens joined the army on November 20, 2002 and hailed from Rawlins, Wyoming. He was stationed in Asia, Europe, and the United States and deployed to Egypt, Afghanistan, and Iraq. His medals include The Army commendation Medal, Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Special Forces Tab, Air Assault Badge, Path Finder Badge, and Parachutist Badge. He was a Green Beret with fifteen years of experience.


"I keep saying this and I truly believe it. His heart was bigger than the nation he served and loved and protected," Leslie Cribben said.


"He has both the compassionate side and the loving side and he's got the warrior side. I was amazed that he could meld those two," his father said.
